www.ase.org The Alliance to Save Energy promotes energy efficiency worldwide for economy, environment and security. Offers K-12 lesson plans, energy saving tips and resource links to other educational resources and materials.

www.delmarva.com Delmarva Power supplies energy to CCPS.

ww.eere.energy.gov The U.S. DOE Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy website provides information on energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. They have a terrific Kids and Education link. The Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) (www1.eere.energy.gov/femp) has a tremendous amount of information to help federal agencies reduce building energy costs, increase energy efficiency, use renewable energy, and conserve water.

www.eia.doe.gov The Energy Information Administration provides a range of Energy Statistics from the U.S. Government.

www.energyhog.org Energy Hog is an energy efficiency campaign developed by the Ad Council and run by the Alliance to Save Energy that engages children and raises awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency.  Great educational games!

www.energystar.gov The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Guidelines for Energy Management is a great resource, as well as their Kids’ page which is full of activities and resources for the classroom.

www.ferc.gov  The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of natural gas, oil, and electricity.  The FERC helps make it possible for you to flip a switch and have energy to run TVs, computers, video games, and everything else that needs power.  The site has an interactive Students Corner with educational games and activities for parents, teachers, and students of all ages.

www.need.org  The National Energy Education Development (NEED) develops and distributes comprehensive energy education programs through its network of students, educators, business, government, and community leaders.

www.nef1.org  The National Energy Foundation develops and disseminates educational materials and implements teacher and student training programs to increase understanding of energy, natural resources, and the environment.

www.usgbc.org  The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) developed The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system, which is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
